The activities of Tenso Network Europe in 2012 and 2013 will be funded by a grant from the EU Culture Programme. This is the third time that Tenso receives a grant, and we are delighted that the EU continues to support our mission to stimulate (professional) choral practice in Europe. Our proposal got maximum scores for 'European added value' and 'expected level of output', and scored high on other criteria.
The project " Time for Tenso" will run from May 2012 to December 2013 and includes professional exchange, the launch of the Tenso Europe Choir for young professional singers, a workshop for young composers, Tenso Days in Mechelen and Marseille, and the further extension of the wiki on choral repertoire. Cappella Amsterdam (NL) is the coordinating partner of the project; all eleven current Tenso members and the Festival van Vlaanderen / Mechelen are cooperating partners.

The Tenso wiki on repertoire for chamber choir is on the final test stage:
it will focuss on what is called contemporary repertoire: choral music that was written between ca 1890 and now. You can search the knowledge base on :
• Name of composer • Title of work • Year of composition
For now, this is work in progress, based on the repertoire databases of the Tenso choirs. We hope that this wiki will expand: that both more information on the works that are already in there, and more information on works that are not in there now, will be added by the users.

Choral Music - just out now. With a chapter on the European choral tradition by Leo Samama, Tenso's chief artistic council. More info
